President Droupadi Murmu arrived at Lakshadweep on a three-day official visit on Saturday evening. The President was accorded a warm welcome at Agatti airport. Later, President Murmu arrived at Kavaratti Island, where she received a ceremonial guard of honour by the forces. Folk dancers performed Paricha Kali, a traditional dance of Lakshadweep, at Kavaratti Helipad welcoming the President.<br />''  <br />'' The President is presently attending a civic reception in Kavarati, the capital Island, and will inaugurate two desalinization plants built by NIOT in Ameni and Kalpeni island, with a capacity to purify 1.5 lakhs liters of water per day.<br />
