President Pranab Mukherjee today congratulated veteran tennis player Leander Paes on winning the US Open mixed doubles crown along with Swiss great Martina Hingis. Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also congratulated Paes and Hingis on their historic feat.<br/><br/>Paes today created history by winning the US Open mixed doubles title with Hingis in New York as the veteran Indian now has the highest number of mixed doubles titles in open era. <br/><br/>Prime Minister Narendra Modi also congratulated Leander Paes and Martina Hingis for clinching the US Open mixed doubles title. In a tweet, Mr Modi said, both the players played well.
