The President Mrs. Pratibha Devisingh Patil conferred the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award to noted Scientist and Educationist, Professor Yashpal for the year 2011 for excellence in Public Administration, academics and Management .

The award was presented at an impressive function at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. Eminent personalities and Members of Parliament were present on the occasion.
