President Pranab Mukherjee has condoled the passing away of the President of Vanuatu Baldwin Jacobson Lonsdale. In a message to the Acting President and Speaker of Parliament of Vanuatu, Esmon Saimon, Mr Mukherjee said, President Lonsdale steadfastly steered Vanuatu through difficult times. <br/><br/>The President said, with wisdom and foresight, Mr Lonsdale forged ever-stronger international-partnerships for the Republic of Vanuatu. He said, President Lonsdale was instrumental in strengthening of bilateral relations between India and Vanuatu.
