President Pratibha Devisingh Patil has condoled the death of P.K. Narayana Panicker. In her condolence message, she said that Paniker was a prominent social leader in Kerala who was always in touch with grassroots of the society. He made invaluable contribution to public life and society through his selfless social services.

Menwhile, the funeral of NSS President P K Narayana Panicker was held with full state honours at his residence in Changanassery today. A large number of people and eminent persons were present.

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy along with his cabinet colleagues paid last respects at the residence of Panicker. He died yesterday at the age of 82 due to cancer.
