The President Mrs Pratibha Devisingh Patil has returned to New Delhi after completing her week-long visit to the United Kingdom and Cyprus. Our correspondent covering the President’s visit, reports that consolidating friendly ties and enhancing cooperation and exploring possibilities of trade in new areas were the highlights of the President's visit. She also held discussions on issues of mutual interest with the British Prime Minister Mr. Gordon Brown.<br/><br/>In Cyprus, the President discussed strengthening bilateral trade and cooperation with the President Mr. Demetri Christofias. An agreement was also signed between Indian and Cypriot companies, to set up solar power plants in India.<br/><br/>
