President asks IPS trainee officers to discharge their duties without fear or favour

President Ram Nath Kovind has called upon the IPS trainee officers to discharge their duties without fear or favour.<br/><br/>Addressing the officer trainees of the 2016 Batch of the Indian Police Service in New Delhi today, Mr Kovind stated that as professional civil servants, they should give the political executive honest and unbiased advice. <br/><br/>The President said, technology is both a challenge and a tool for policing. While technology expands avenues for crimes, it also allows the police to do its duties with greater efficiency. <br/><br/>He also called upon them to encourage the process to allow the citizen to lodge a complaint from his home.<br/><br/>He stated that the ideal police system is one where the citizen gets his due service from the police without needing to visit the police station.
