President asks IIS officers to ensure that information about govt programmes reaches citizens living in remotest part of country

President Ram Nath Kovind has asked the officers of Indian Information Service, IIS to ensure that information about the government programmes and schemes reaches citizens living in the remotest part of the country. <br />''<br />''<br />''Interacting with the officer trainees of IIS at Rashtrapati Bhavan today, Mr Kovind said, despite the information age, there is still a large segment of population lacks awareness about government programmes and welfare schemes from which they can benefit.<br />''<br />''<br />''Information and Broadcasting Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore today asked newly inducted IIS officers to have a positive approach towards learning and improvement in the work field.
