The President, Mrs. Pratibha Devi Singh Patil has arrived at Kanpur today. Later in the Day, Mrs. Patil will inaugurate the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Indian Institution of Technology Kunpur. During her visit besides delivering a lecture the President will unveiled a satellite 'Jugnu' developed by the Institutes students and it will be handed over to scientists of the Indian Space Research Organisation ISRO for launching from Sriharikota after proper testing.<br/><br/>Massive security arrangements are in place in the Kanpur city in view of President’s visit. Additional senior police officers and security personnel from neighbouring districts have been deployed at and around IIT premises.<br/><br/>Alumni of IIT-Kanpur, from the country and abroad, will join in large numbers for the golden jubilee celebrations of the premier institute of the country.
