President addresses students of Bapugkv

As part of his visit to Gujarat, the President Pranav Mukherjee today addressed the students and faculties of Bapu Gujarat Knowledge village and Samarpan College at Vasan village near Gandhinagar. He said education should not be considered in terms of dividend one can get out of it, but the contribution one can make towards society.<br/><br/>Earlier today, the President inaugurated the 100 bedded Sardar Patel Heart Institute at Ankleshwar. This institute will provide advance medical care to the patients of Bharuch district and will reduce their dependency on big cities for advance medical treatment.<br/><br/>He also inaugurated the renovated parts of historic Sevashram hospital at Bharuch. The President also unveiled the statues of Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel situated in the premises of the hospital. He also visited the historic room of this hospital where Mahatma Gandhi has stayed during the famous Dandi March.<br/><br/>In his address to students of Bapu Gujarat Knowledge village and Samarpan College, the President recalled the thoughts of Mahatma Gandhi and highlighted the strength of Indian diversity. He appealed to students to preserve the fabric of diversity of this country. Earlier today, speaking at the Sardar Patel Heart Institute, President emphasized on the need of having good medical care in order to build a healthy society. He also lauded the medical work being done by the two institutes of Bharuch he visited today. The President is scheduled to meet former Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Madhavsinh Solanki before leaving for Delhi.
