President Pranab Mukherjee, was today accorded a civic reception by the West Bengal government and the people of the state, at Chowrasta, which also known as 'The Mall' in Darjeeling district of West Bengal. <br/><br/>Among those present, where a huge gathering of the local people, the West Bengal Chief Minister, Ms. Mamata Banerjee and the State Governor, Mr. Keshari Nath Tripathi along with other dignitaries. <br/><br/>Earlier, Mr. Mukherjee participated in the Birth anniversary celebration of renowned Nepali poet, Mr. Bhanu Bhakta. The President freely waved at the crowed present on either side of the hilly road in a gesture of goodwill.
