Secretary Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation Dr. T.C.A. Anant said that the present inflation situation is due to the hike in the food prices. He also said that there is no likelihood of the spiraling effect of this price rise as the government measures are going to bring down the food prices within a short period of time.Mr. Anant was releasing the results of Annual Survey of Industries in New Delhi this evening which says that during 2008-09 the invested capital in the organised manufacturing sector has grown by about 20 per cent over the previous year.
