Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Kalraj Mishra has asked the Khadi and Village Industries Commission, KVIC to prepare an elaborate time-bound action plan to revitalise the sector.Mr Mishra held a review meeting with KVIC officials in New Delhi for revamping the industries. Mr Mishra stressed the need for optimum utilisation of the existing infrastructure and its upgradation, along with ensuring economic sustainability without compromising the swadeshi spirit and legacy of Khadi. He also called for efforts to increase the income of artisans who are the backbone of Khadi activity, and building Khadi as a robust brand while putting in place a healthy supply chain to widen its presence in the market.
