Preparations for CWG venues on track: Gill

Sports Minister M S Gill assured that all the venues for next month's Commonwealth Games will be ready soon to welcome the sportspersons from 71 countries and territories.Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, the union sports minister Mr. M S Gill said that he informed Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh that all preparations are on track and the stadia are ready for the games. Speaking at the sidelines of function, he asserted that deployment of officials for preparations has gained speed. The sports minister, at the function, launched the trilingual song. It is about the mascot SHERA, sung in Hindi, English and Punjabi languages. The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Thursday discussed the status of preparations for the forthcoming commonwealth games .The Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dinesh Bhai Trivedi in the meantime has said that dengue in Delhi will come under control before Commonwealth Games. In an exclusive interview to AIR, he hoped that in spite of all the problems the Games will be successful.
