In Uttar Pradesh, all preparations for counting of votes have been completed. Counting will start at 8 in the morning and all the results are expected to be out within hours. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that there are 75 counting centres in 72 districts. While each district would have one counting centre, except for Kushinagar, Azamgarh and Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Nagar where counting will be taking place at two different places. Counting of votes of the constituencies from newly set up districts of Panchsheel Nagar, Prabuddha Nagar and Bheem Nagar will be taking place at the old district headquarters from which they were carved out.Elaborate security arrangements have been made at all the counting centres and Central forces would be used for the purpose. The whole counting process will be videographed for which video cameras are being installed and micro observers will also be deployed at every counting table. The Election Commission has issued guide lines for transparent and honest counting. The Commission has said that mobile phones will not be allowed into counting places. Only poll officials and media persons can carry mobile phones with themselves.
