Preparations for Commonwealth Games in full swing

The Union Minister for sports Mr M.S. Gill has said that preparations for ensuing Commonwealth games are going on in full swing. Talking to newsmen in Kolkata today Mr. Gill said that, constructions of new stadiums will be completed by next month. While, renovation of main venue of the games the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium where opening and closing ceremony will take place will be completed by June.Mr Gill informed that other infrastructural facilities will be in place in due time. The Union Sports Minister said that strong security measures will be taken in Delhi and surrounding areas during the games. Earlier Mr. Gill inaugurated Indo -Bangladesh games in Kolkata this afternoon. The games will be held in 10 disciplines of sports under auspices of Bengal Olympic Association.
