Haryana Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ms Sharda Rathore has urged the young writers to take inspiration from legendary Story writer Munshi Prem Chand. Ms Sharda Rathore was speaking at a function organized by Haryana Sahitya Akademy to celebrate 131st birth anniversary of Munshi Prem Chand at Chandigarh.She described Munshi Prem Chand as a great litterateur and said that he had always given priority to the realistic approach in his writings. She said that he criticized the social evils in his novels, plays and stories. On this occasion three winners of storey writing competition were honoured under the Storey Award Scheme of Haryana Sahitya Akademy for the year 2009-10. Madan Sharma Rakesh of Chandigarh bagged the first prize for its storey ‘Chote Bade Sapno Ka Sach’. Dr. Rajender of Kaithal won the second prize and Amit Manoj of Mahendergarh third.
