Railway Ministry on Sunday said the preliminary response of Flexi Fare Scheme has been good so far. Briefing media in New Delhi, Member, Traffic, in Railway Board Mohd Jamshed said Railways have earned over Rs. 80 lakh per day additionally in the last two days following implementation of the scheme. He said the Flexi Fare scheme is applicable only to Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto, which are fast trains with pan India coverage. Mr Jamshed said fares under the scheme have been capped at 1.4 times for third AC, and 1.5 times for all other classes. AIR correspondent reports there is no separate Tatkal surcharge for second AC, third AC, sleeper and second seating.
