A ban on prepaid mobile services came into effect in Jammu and Kashmir from today. The Union Home Ministry banned its use citing security concerns and possibility of misuse by militants and other anti-social elements. About 38 lakh pre-paid subscribers will be affected by this decision. The Chief Minister Mr. Omar Abdullah has decided to take up the issue with the central government.<br/>
