Pre-monsoon showers to continue in parts of the Mumbai and Konkan, till the southwest monsoon arrives in Maharashtra. Dr R V Sharma, deputy director general of Met Department in Mumbai said the monsoon has advanced noticeably since Monday and should be in Maharashtra within the next three days. Meanwhile, Mumbai saw a steep drop in the temperature, as some parts of the city continued to witness intermittent showers since last few days. Except for Konkan and Mumbai, its not been raining in rest of Maharashtra and the temperature in these parts is still around 40 degree Celsius. The Met department has said that Mumbai and parts of the city are likely to receive rain and thunder showers.
