Pre-monsoon showers continue to lash several parts of Gujarat

The highest 90 mm rainfall was reported at Mehsana district in North Gujarat yesterday. According to the State Flood Control room, as many as 30 tehsils in the state received more than 20 mm of rains in the past 24 hours. Parts of Gandhinagar, Panchamahal, Kheda, Rajkot, Chhota Udepur and Ahmedabad districts also witnessed rainfall more than 40 mm yesterday.<br />''<br />''AIR correspondent reports that many rivers in Saurashtra and south Gujarat are flooded with water. In wake of heavy rains, district authorities in Amreli have advised people living in low lying areas of Rajula and Jafarabad to move to safer places.
