In Gujarat, lightning, and pre-monsoon showers claimed eight lives in the districts of Vadodara and Bharuch since Sunday evening.Lalu Naresh Rathwa, a young boy from Hamirpura village, died when a wall of his house collapsed.Parts of Vadodara city plunged into darkness for a couple of hours due to tree-falling incidents last evening. Manoj Kumar Das, Vadodara Municipal Commissioner said, a total of 71 such incidents were reported.In some parts, advertisement hoardings collapsed on transmission lines, leading to disruption of power supply.
