Praveen K Tripathi has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Delhi Government. Mr. Tripathi , a 1977batch IAS officer succeeds Rakesh Mehta who was appointed as State Election Commissioner on Thursday. Tripathi is likely to take charge on Monday.He had also served the Delhi Jal Board as CEO, besides being the Commissioner of Sales Tax in Delhi Government. Prior to his appointment as principal secretary to Dikshit, he had served Information and Broadcasting Ministry as Joint Secretary. Tripathi is currently holding additional charge of Finance Secretary.
