India's flagship annual event to connect with its Diaspora spread across the globe, Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas, began in New Delhi on Thursday. Nearly 1,500 delegates from over 50 countries including top businessmen, economists, entrepreneurs and scientists are participating in the three-day event. <br/> <br/>In an exclusive interview to our correspondent covering the event, the Minister for Overseas Affairs Mr. Vyalar Ravi said that government will take appropriate steps for the safety of properties belonging to people of Indian origin and non-residents.<br/>
