The 10th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will be celebrated from tomorrow in Jaipur.Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh will formally inaugurate the event on Sunday.The theme of the three-day event will be ‘Global Indian-Inclusive Growth’. Around 1,500 NRI delegates from 54 countries will be present.Ms Kamla Persad Bissessar, Prime minister of Trinidad and Tobago, will be the Chief Guest and President Pratibha Devisingh Patil will deliver the concluding speech on Monday. Rajasthan is the partner state of the 10th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas which would provide the Diaspora an opportunity to understand the vibrant culture and potential of the state.Two pre-conference seminars on “Solar energy-Investment” and “Social Entrepreneurship-Water” will also be organized during the event.Chief Ministers of six states will participate in the event.All arrangements have been made for the delegates in Jaipur and many cultural events would also be organized.1500 additional policemen have been deployed in the city for security and traffic arrangements during the event.
