Prasar Bharti Board has dismissed the reports published in a section of media about the delegation of powers to the Executive Member of the Board. In a statement issued in New Delhi, the Board Chairperson Mrinal Pandey said, under the Act government nominee can be delegated the powers and functions of the Executive Member.She further added, after the suspension of B.S. Lalli, it was resolved in the Board meeting on 3rd of this month by a majority vote to delegate powers and functions to the government nominee. She clarified, it is incorrect that both full-time members have put up dissent note and said, such a note has been given by Member Finance which will be duly minuted. The Chairperson has urged the media to ascertain facts before writing any news about the Prasar Bharti Board.
