Mr. S.C. Panda, CEO, Prasar Bharati called on the Governor Sri Sriniwas Patil at Raj Bhawan in Gangtok today during his 4 day official visit to the state. Mr. D N Basumatari, ADG (P&A),NEZ is accompanying him.<br/><br/>Earlier, the CEO met officials and employees of All India Radio, Gangtok. In the meeting Shri Panda announced the decision to start Day transmission from 12 noon to 3 p.m. in AIR Gangtok from 1st January 2017. <br/><br/>The CEO has directed the officials to start FM Transmission from the station at the earliest so that the programmes and news of AIR Gangtok could reach in every corner of the State. He instructed the officials to emphasise on programmes such as agriculture, rural development and sports .<br/>In his meeting with the officials of Doordarshan, Gangtok Shri Panda informed that ArunPrabha Channel will be introduced very soon from Itanagar.
