The Prasar Bharati will undertake a special recruitment drive in the North Eastern Region within a few months to cope with acute manpower shortage in AIR and Doordarshan Kendras of the Region. <br/><br/>This was announced by the Prasar Bharati CEO, Mr. B.S. Lali while reviewing the performance of AIR and Doordarshan in Guwahati today. <br/><br/>He said, while making these recruitments special attention will be given so that the local people get employment in Prasar Bharati. He said, the problem of manpower shortage is being faced by all the Stations and Kendras of the country. <br/><br/>However, it is more acute in the North East. Mr. Lali assured the employees and officers of Prasar Bharati that all out efforts will be made to enhance performance of these two public service broadcasters in the region.
