<span style="color: #222222;">Prasar Bharati has tied up with Google and YouTube to telecast the Independence Day programme live online. Prasar Bharati CEO Shashi Shekhar Vempati told media that the tie-up has been done as part of efforts to increase digital presence. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Vempati said that the live stream window will be seen on the homepage of Google itself so that people do not have to look for a separate link to go to the Youtube channel. He further stated that the stream will make Prime Minister's speech available to a large audience across the world. He informed that once the Prime Minister's speech ends at Red Fort, AIR will transmit translation of Prime Minister's speech in regional languages.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">This year, Doordarshan anchors will introduce the programme from Red Fort instead of the studios. Doordarshan will also translate the Prime Minister's speech in over 20 languages. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Independence Day coverage will open with a song composed by Shankar Mahadevan.</span><br />'' <br />
