The Prasar Bharati is taking steps for online availability of rare AIR and Doordarshan archive materials to the public. Giving this information on the sideline of an lecture ‘Creating value and Art of leadership` in Kolkata this afternoon the Chief Executive Officer of the Prasar Bharati Mr. Jawhar Sircar said that, steps are being taken in addition to release of CDs and Cassettes of rare Music, Interviews to the public. He said that, a separate wing for preservation of Archival materials of AIR and Doordarshan will be set up.

Mr. Sircar stressed the need for better utilization of infrastructure of these two Organizations. He said that, Digitalization of Television Network will help better monitoring of Channels viewership. Earlier, Mr. Sircar reviewed the functioning of AIR and Dordarshan Kendras in Kolkata.
