Prasar Bharati Chairman Dr A Suryaprakash today exhorted All India Radio officials and staff to strengthen its values and enhance its credibility and image. Addressing employees during his visit to AIR Hyderabad studios, he asked them to take lead in public campaigns like Swachh Bharat and Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao as AIR has reach to the last person in the society. <br/><br/>He said AIR and DD, unlike private channels are bestowed with responsibility to tackle social issues and expedite development in the country. Stating that the government is addressing social issues to resolve them in next 4-5 years, he asked the two public broadcasters to contribute in this direction. <br/><br/>Earlier, he listened to live musical concert and went round the studios. On the occasion, the Programme Staff Association of AIR and DD and other associations submitted memoranda to the Prasar Bharti Chairman to address their issues.
