Prasar Bharati CEO Shashi Shekhar Vempati has been given the additional charge of the CEO Rajya Sabha TV. This follows after Gurdeep Singh Sappal resigned as Rajya Sabha TV CEO. <br/><br/>An order of the Rajya Sabha Secretariat said, consequent upon acceptance of resignation of Mr Sappal, he is directed to hand over the charge of post to Mr Vempati with immediate effect. <br/><br/>Prasar Bharati Chairman A Surya Prakash congratulated Mr Vempati for the new role. <br/>Founded in 2008, Rajya Sabha TV is owned and operated by Rajya Sabha and covers the proceedings of the upper house of the Parliament. <br/><br/><br/><br/>
