The Chief Executive Officer of Prasar Bharati Shashi Shekar Vempati has refuted a media report in the Kannada press today that the attempts are being made to close down AIR and DD stations in the country.<br />”<br />”<span style="color: #222222;">In an exclusive interview to AIR News, Mr. Vempati has made it clear that the HPT and LPT transmitting stations across the country are closed due to its obsolete technology and that there is no attempt to close down the programme generating stations. He also termed as false the media report that the local and regional contents of the Akashvani and Doordarshan stations are being curtailed.</span><br />
