<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Prasar Bharati CEO Gaurav Dwivedi has said, the Broadcasting Infrastructure and Network Development (BIND) scheme will help in the upgradation of broadcasting infrastructure and expansion of AIR and DD networks in the country. He said through the scheme, FM radio coverage will be expanded by more than six lakh square kilometres in the country, primarily in Left-wing Extremism affected and border areas. Mr. Dwivedi added that under the scheme, FM coverage in the country will increase to over 66 percent from the current 58 percent in terms of geographical areas within four years.</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">The CEO informed that DD Free Dish network capacity will be expanded from the existing 116 channels to 250 channels to provide rich and diverse content to the people. He said new technologies, including augmented reality and virtual reality, will be introduced as part of the modernisation plan.
