A parliamentary panel today asked Prasar Bharati to iron out problem areas for ensuring smooth coverage of the Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi in October this year. <br/><br/>The Consultative Committee of Information and Broadcasting Ministry, which met in New Delhi was given a presentation on the overall functioning of Prasar Bharati by its CEO B S Lalli.<br/><br/>Official sources said with Doordarshan being the host broadcaster for the Games, the committee members are learnt to have suggested that its officials should ensure greater coordination while preparing to telecast the mega event. <br/><br/>Issues pertaining to capital restructuring of Prasar Bharati and filling up of vacancies in the public broadcaster are also said to have been discussed during the meeting, presided over by the Information and Broadcasting Minister Mrs. Ambika Soni.
