Pranab to resign today as FM ahead of filing nomination for Presidential poll

Mr. Pranab Mukherjee will resign today as Finance Minister ahead of filing nomination papers for the Presidential election. He is to file his nomination papers for the Presidentship on Thursday.
The Congress Working Committee, CWC, met in New Delhi yesterday at the Party Chief Mrs. Sonia Gandhi's residence to bid farewell to UPA's Presidential nominee Mr. Mukherjee. Talking to media after the meeting, Party General Secretary, Janardan Dwivedi said, top brass appreciated the contribution of the senior-most member of CWC.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the 12 member Coordination Committee constituted by the Congress to finalise the campaign programme and strategy of Pranab Mukherjee in the Presidential election will be held today.
