The Finance minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee is back from Washington to New York to meet the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh later in the day. The finance Minister is meeting Dr. Singh first time after the controversy on finance ministry note on the 2G spectrum issue. The Prime Minister has rejected the Opposition demand for the resignation of any minister. He asserted that he has full confidence in his cabinet colleagues and dismissed reports of any rift in the cabinet .The Prime Minister added that nothing much should be read into today’s meeting as Mr. Pranab Mukherjee would be briefing him on his discussions with heads of world financial institutions.
