Senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee today said the verdict of Assembly Elections 2011 proves that people have voted for stability and change. Speaking to Media persons in New Delhi he said his party accepts the mandate with humility and great respect. He said the assembly results show people's renewed support to UPA government. Mr. Mukherjee said that West Bengal verdict is in favour of Mamta Banerjee who played a significant role in dismantaling more than three decades old left rule in the State. Reffering the voting pattern in Kerala, he said that people give their verdict in favour of change. Taking a dig at BJP's status as a national party, Mr. Mukherjee said that it could not manage a double digit figure in any of the five States. He said in Assam, Congress has emerged as a stronger party that can give a reliable and stable government.
