UPA Presidential candidate Mr Pranab Mukherjee and Opposition candidate Mr P A Sangma remained in the fray for Presidential Election 2012.

The Returning Officer and Secretary General of Rajya Sabha Mr. V K Agnihotri told AIR that Wednesday was the last day of withdrawal of nomination.

He said after scrutiny of nomination papers of Mr Mukherjee and Mr Sangma were found valid on Tuesday. The polling will be held on 19th of this month while the counting will take place on July 22nd.
