The Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee on Friday reviewed the micro-economic situation in the country with the RBI Governor D. Subbarao in New Delhi today. Talking to reporters after the meeting the RBI Governor said that the meeting took place ahead of the credit policy scheduled to be unveiled ahead of Diwali on 25th of this month. Our correspondent reports that RBI plans to further tighten the monetary policy in the wake of rising inflation.
