The Congress leader and Finance Minster Pranab Mukherjee rejected all allegations of Mayawati government on Monday that centre is not providing assistance to Uttar Pradesh. Addressing a public meeting in Allahabad on Monday Mr. Mukherjee cited many central schemes under which financial assistance to Uttar Pradesh was provided.

Mr. Mukherjee said that the centre has provided more than 14thousand corer rupees for MNREGA in last few years even though the state government has been alleging centre of non cooperation.

The senior congress leader said that the existing state government lacks the will power to bring development and change .
