Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee who is on a five-day visit to the U.S. has strongly pitched for American investment in India's infrastructure sector. He was addressing the 8th Annual India Investment Forum meeting in New York. Heading a delegation, including three of his Cabinet colleagues and top captains of Indian Industry, Mr. Mukherjee presented India as an attractive investment destination to top U.S. corporates, particularly in its infrastructure sector, which are in need of over1 trillion us dollars over the next five years.He also addressed the U.S.-India Business Council -FICCI Round Table meeting, which was attended by about 20 CEOs of U.S. companies and 20 participants from India.
