Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee held a meeting with the Chief Ministers of eight Eastern and North Eastern states in Kolkata today. AIR correspondent understands that the meeting discussed financial reforms and measures to deal with the situation on probable slash of economic growth rate. Chief Ministers of West Bengal, Assam and Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar were among those attended the meeting. Besides, heads of all nationalised banks and financial institutions were also present.
