The Chairman of the National Implementation Committee to celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee on Monday launched the website of Tagore's works in New Delhi.

The Finance Minister while speaking on the occasion said this is a key project which is the result of the compilation work by Raja Ram Mohan Roy Library Foundation.

He added that the work was supervised by Tagore experts and scholars and has the titles of 9000 books in 42 languages, both Indian and foreign.

The Minister said that the implementation committee and the Ministry of Culture have undertaken several projects to celebrate the birth anniversary of the multi-faceted genius. This, he said, includes publications, workshops, research works, seminars, cultural programmes and films.

Minister for Culture Ms. Selja and the Secretary, Culture, Jawhar Sircar were present on the occasion.
