President Pranab Mukherjee today hosted a banquet in honour of his visiting Afghanistan counterpart Hamid Karzai at the Rashtrapati Bhavan this evening. Mr. Karzai also held talks with Vice President Hamid Ansari, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok sabha, Mrs. Sushma Swaraj. Speaking at the Maulana Abdul Kalam lecture, Mr. Karzai, recalled the great leader's vision for a harmonious world where people of all communities co existed happily.
