Pranab expresses concern over Parliament disruptions

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has expressed concern over the frequent disruption of Parliamentary proceedings. He said, while everybody had the right to freedom of expression, it should not impinge upon the right of others to speak. Mr Mukherjee was delivering a lecture at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University at Udaipur, Rajasthan yesterday. He voiced concern over loss of time in Parliament due to unnecessary chaos created by some members.

Mr. Mukherjee lauded the people for showing strong will-power which has strengthened democracy. He said, strong will-power, fearlessness and determination of the people of India has made it a strong nation. Mr. Mukherjee said, the people of Jammu and Kashmir participated in election in spite of terrorism in the state.
