<span style="color: #222222;">Newly-appointed Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant took charge of his office on Tuesday at the state secretariat in Porvorim near Panaji. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Sawant informed that there will be a floor test tomorrow and that his government is confident of clearing it.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Earlier today, Mr Sawant visited former chief minister Manohar Parrikar's house near Panaji and met his family members. He also went to the Mahalaxmi temple before proceeding to the office. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Speaking to reporters, Pramod Sawant credited Manohar Parrikar for his political guidance during his journey from an MLA to the legislative assembly speaker and now chief minister. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Sawant informed that Sudin Dhavalikar and Vijai Sardesai would be appointed as deputy chief ministers in his cabinet.  He said that his government's priority will be to complete the projects launched by Mr Parrikar, especially those related to social welfare schemes. He added that portfolios would be distributed to ministers very soon. </span><br />'' <br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">In the 12-member cabinet including the chief minister, BJP has five ministers, Goa Forward Party has three ministers and Maharastrawadi Gomantak Party has two representatives. Two independents have also been given ministerial berths. </span><br />
