In Mizoram,Union Environment, Forests and Climate Change Minister Prakash Javadekar on Saturday visited Advanced Research Centre of Bamboo (ARCB), Forest Training School in Aizawl and inaugurated a State Forest Training Institute (SFTI).<br/><br/>Shri Javadekar arrived in Aizawl on Saturday as part of his three-day visit to the northeastern region for assessment of various projects and sanctuaries.<br/><br/>Javadekar also met senior forest officials, farmers and people from local communities after reaching the Aizawl.<br/><br/>The minister was also interacted with bamboo entrepreneurs of the state.<br/><br/>The construction work of State Forest Training Institute (SFTI) was started in 2011 with the financial support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).<br/><br/>The institute has been constructed at a cost of Rs 5.49 crore approximately.
