Prakash Javadekar says BJP would replicate its win in Leh polls in Bihar as well

Union Minister for Environment and Forests and senior BJP leader Mr. Prakash Javadekar has termed the party win in Leh Hill Council polls in Jammu and Kashmir as a good sign and further asserted that the party would replicate such victory in Bihar Assembly elections too. Speaking to reporters in Nagpur today, he claimed that the people of Leh, who have remained neglected for years during the Congress-National Conference regime, have voted for BJP for the first time. This has also helped removing the perception that Buddhists were against the BJP, he said.

The Minister informed that the Environment and Forest Ministry would invest about two lakh crore rupees for afforestation programmes during the next five years.

Mr. Javadekar was in Nagpur for the Bhoomipoojan of the four-laning project of Mansar-Khawasa stretch of the National Highway No.7 in Nagpur district today.
