Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Prakash Javadekar inaugurated Shatabdi Krishi Bhawan and a Green Building in Banaras Hindu University today. The Shatabdi Krishi Bhawan under the Institute of Agricultural Sciences, BHU has been so named to commemorate the Centenary year of University.<br/><br/>The four storied building built at a cost of around 21 crore Rupees houses, lecture halls, chambers for faculty members and laboratories for agriculture science students. <br/><br/>The University's first green building under the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development is dedicated to Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and his vision of green campus. The building features facilities like 25 Kilo Watt solar Plant and a water treatment plant for recycling and reuse of water. <br/><br/>Minister HRD is visiting BHU in connection with the review meeting of vice chancellors of central universities.
